Sometimes you may need to remove an article โ whether itโs a draft, a scheduled post, or a published piece thatโs no longer relevant. SEO Rocket gives you simple controls to delete articles quickly and safely, without disrupting the rest of your calendar or published content.
Where You Can Delete Articles
You can delete an article from:
The Calendar: Remove scheduled or queued articles directly from your content plan.
The Editor: Delete generated or draft articles from within the editor view.
The Table View: Quickly remove multiple articles from your content list.
How to Delete an Article
From the Calendar
Hover over the article card you want to remove.
Click the Trash icon in the bottom-right corner of the card.
Confirm the deletion in the popup message.
The article will be permanently removed from your queue or schedule. If it was previously scheduled for a date, that slot will reopen for new content.
From the Editor
Open the article.
Click the red Delete Article button in the top right of the editor
Confirm to remove it completely.
This will delete both the article and its SEO metadata from your SEO Rocket dashboard.
What Happens When You Delete
Queued or Scheduled Articles: Deleted instantly from the calendar and will not generate.
Generated Articles: Removed from your dashboard and will not be available for future editing.
Published Articles: The version on your website will remain live (SEO Rocket never deletes published content from your CMS). If you want to remove it from your site, delete it directly inside your CMS platform.
Best Practices
Double-check before deleting a Generated or Published article, as these cannot be restored.
Deleting scheduled posts can help reorganize your publishing calendar without affecting other content.
