Update Articles

After your article is published — whether automatically through a connected CMS or manually — you can still make changes anytime in SEO Rocket. When you update an article, SEO Rocket syncs your edits to your connected website automatically, keeping everything consistent and up to date.

How Updates Work

When you make changes to a published article in the editor (for example, fixing a typo, updating a link, or adding new images), SEO Rocket automatically detects and applies those updates to the live version on your connected CMS.

You don’t have to republish or re-upload anything — just click Save Changes, and your website will be updated instantly. (Sometimes it can take up to a minute to see the changes on your live site after you refresh)

If you’re not using a connected CMS, you can still edit freely inside SEO Rocket, then copy your updated article using Copy as and paste it into your CMS manually.

What You Can Update

You can safely modify:

  • Article content: Add new sections, adjust paragraphs, or update stats.

  • Media and visuals: Swap images, add videos, or embed new links.

  • Headings and structure: Improve readability or add new subtopics.

  • Metadata: Update the meta title, description, or slug in the sidebar.

Every change you make is reflected both in SEO Rocket and, if integrated, directly on your site.

Version Syncing

When your CMS is connected, SEO Rocket automatically manages version control for you.

  • Minor changes (typos, new images, SEO adjustments) are synced immediately.

  • Major rewrites (new structure or tone) are reprocessed to ensure formatting and metadata remain consistent.

You’ll always be editing the latest version of your article.

Best Practices for Updating Articles

  • Review your SEO Score after updates — it recalculates automatically.

  • Refresh older articles with new stats or data once every few months to keep them current.

  • If you add new blog posts, revisit older ones to add internal links.

  • Avoid changing URLs unless absolutely necessary, as this can impact search rankings.

Manual Updates

If you’re publishing manually (without a connected CMS):

  1. Make your edits in the SEO Rocket editor.

  2. Click Copy as and select your format (Rich Text, HTML, Markdown).

  3. Replace the content in your CMS editor with the new version.

  4. Manually update the meta title, slug, and description if they’ve changed.

Summary

  • Updates in SEO Rocket automatically sync to your CMS when integrated.

  • Manual users can copy and re-paste content as needed.

  • The SEO Score updates in real time with every change.

  • Keeping articles fresh and accurate boosts both rankings and engagement.

Updating your articles is fast, simple, and fully automated — helping your website stay optimized without extra work.
