Connect your Google Business Profile (GBP) to SEO Rocket to enhance your local SEO and unlock the ability to share your published articles directly to your profile as social updates. This integration uses a secure API connection and takes just a few clicks to set up.

Before You Begin

  • You must have an active and verified Google Business Profile.

  • You need to be the Owner or Manager of the profile you want to connect.

How to Connect Your Google Business Profile

  1. In your SEO Rocket dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations.

  2. Find the Google Business Profile card and click Enable Integration.

  3. You will be redirected to a Google sign-in screen. Choose the Google account that owns or manages your Business Profile.

  4. Review and grant the requested permissions so SEO Rocket can access your profile and post updates on your behalf.

  5. Once authorized, you will be returned to SEO Rocket. If you manage multiple profiles, select the correct one from the dropdown menu.

  6. Click Save Changes.

Your Google Business Profile is now fully connected. You can immediately begin sharing articles to your profile using the Social Sharing feature.

Before You Begin

How to Share an Article to Google Business Profile

  1. Navigate to the Content History tab in your SEO Rocket dashboard or find the article you want to share within your Calendar.

  2. Find the published article you want to share.

  3. Click the Share Article icon in the right sidebar of the article.

  4. Select Google Business Profile from the dropdown menu.

  5. A modal will appear with the article title and link pre-filled. You can customize the text of the post if you'd like to add a personal message or call-to-action.

  6. Click Share Post.

Your article will be instantly published as an update to your Google Business Profile.

Troubleshooting

Sharing Failed:
This error usually means the connection to your Google Business Profile has been interrupted. Go to Settings → Integrations, disconnect your Google Business Profile, and reconnect it.

Share Option is Grayed Out:
This means the article has not been successfully published to your website yet. Only articles with a Published status can be shared to social channels.
