The Internal Links feature helps SEO Rocket automatically connect your content together in a smart, SEO-friendly way. Instead of manually adding links to every article, you choose your most important pages once, and SEO Rocket handles the rest.

When enabled, SEO Rocket scans your sitemap, lets you select key pages and posts, and then automatically inserts relevant internal links into your generated articles.

This improves SEO, crawlability, and user engagement without extra work.

What Internal Links Do

Once configured, Internal Links allow SEO Rocket to:

  • Discover pages and posts from your website sitemap

  • Let you select up to 20 important internal links

  • Automatically include 3 to 5 relevant internal links in each generated article

  • Choose links contextually so they feel natural inside the content

Internal linking helps search engines understand your site structure and helps readers discover more of your content.

How It Works

SEO Rocket uses your sitemap to understand what content exists on your site. From there, you decide which pages matter most.

During article generation, the AI reviews your selected internal links and inserts the most relevant ones based on the article topic and context.

You only need to set this up once. You can update it anytime.

Setting Up Internal Links

Go to Settings → Internal Links to get started.

Step 1: Confirm Your Sitemap

At the top of the page, you’ll see your sitemap URL. This comes from your Business Settings.

If your sitemap is missing or incorrect, update it in Business Settings first.

Step 2: Scan Your Sitemap

Click the Scan or Refresh button to fetch pages from your sitemap.

After scanning, you’ll see a summary showing:

  • Number of pages found

  • Number of posts found

  • How many internal links you’ve selected

Step 3: Choose Your Internal Links

You’ll see two sections:

Pages

  • Static pages like About, Pricing, Services, or Landing Pages

  • Includes a search bar to quickly find specific pages

Posts

  • Blog posts pulled from your sitemap

  • Includes a search bar for filtering by title

Use the checkboxes to select the pages and posts you want SEO Rocket to link to.

You can select up to 20 total internal links across both sections.

Step 4: Save Your Selection

Once you’ve chosen your links, click Save Changes.

Your selections are now synced with the article generation system and will be used in all future articles.

How Links Appear in Articles

When an article is generated:

  • SEO Rocket automatically inserts 3 to 5 internal links

  • Links are chosen based on relevance to the article topic

  • Anchor text is written naturally by the AI

  • Links are placed where they make sense for readers and SEO

You don’t need to manually add or manage links per article.

Best Practices

  • Prioritize high-value pages like services, product pages, and key guides

  • Include cornerstone blog posts you want to rank

  • Avoid selecting low-quality or outdated pages

  • Review your list every few months as your site grows

Updating or Changing Links

You can return to Settings → Internal Links at any time to:

  • Rescan your sitemap

  • Add new pages or posts

  • Remove old links

  • Replace links as your strategy changes

Changes only affect articles generated after you save.

Why Internal Linking Matters

Internal links help:

  • Search engines crawl and index your site more effectively

  • Pass authority between pages

  • Increase time on site and page views

  • Strengthen topical relevance

SEO Rocket automates this process so you get the benefits without the manual effort.
