Publish SEO Rocket articles directly to your Notion databases.

The Notion integration allows SEO Rocket to create and publish articles as pages inside a Notion database. This is ideal if you use Notion as a content hub, editorial system, internal knowledge base, or publishing workflow.

Once connected, SEO Rocket can automatically create new pages in your selected database when articles are generated or published.

What This Integration Does

When connected, SEO Rocket can:

  • Publish articles directly into a Notion database

  • Convert article content into native Notion blocks

  • Set page titles, descriptions, and status properties automatically

  • Add featured images as Notion cover images

  • Keep your content organized inside Notion without manual formatting

This integration uses Notion’s official Internal Integration API and stores your credentials securely.

How to Connect Notion

Follow these steps to securely connect SEO Rocket to your Notion workspace.

Step 1: Create a Notion Internal Integration

  1. Go to: https://www.notion.so/profile/integrations

  2. Click New integration

Step 2: Configure the Integration

  1. Give the integration a name such as SEO Rocket

  2. Select the Notion workspace you want to use

  3. Enable these capabilities:

    • Read content

    • Update content

    • Insert content

  4. Save the integration

These permissions allow SEO Rocket to create and update pages in your database.

Step 3: Copy the Internal Integration Secret

  1. After creating the integration, click Show

  2. Copy the Internal Integration Secret

The token will start with secret_ or ntn_.
Keep this token secure.

Step 4: Create a Database for Your Articles

  1. In Notion, create a new database where articles should be published

  2. This can be:

    • A full page database

    • An inline database

SEO Rocket will automatically detect and use the required properties.

Step 5: Share the Database with the Integration

  1. Open the database

  2. Click the menu in the top right

  3. Select Connections

  4. Add your SEO Rocket integration

Without this step, SEO Rocket will not be able to publish to the database.

Step 6: Test and Connect

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations in SEO Rocket

  2. Find the Notion integration

  3. Paste your Internal Integration Secret

  4. Click Test Connection

  5. Select your target database

  6. Click Connect Notion

Once connected, you will see a confirmation screen showing the selected database.

What Happens When You Publish

When an article is published to Notion:

  • A new page is created in the selected database

  • Article content is converted into native Notion blocks

  • The article title becomes the page title

  • Descriptions and status fields are mapped automatically

  • Featured images are added as the page cover

Each article becomes a clean, readable Notion page without manual cleanup.

Disconnecting Notion

You can disconnect Notion at any time.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations

  2. Find the Notion integration

  3. Click Disconnect

Disconnecting will stop future publishing.
Existing pages in Notion will remain unchanged.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure the database is shared with the integration

  • Verify the API token is copied correctly

  • Ensure the integration has Insert and Update permissions

  • If no databases appear, reconnect and reselect the database
