Article Workflow Status

In SEO Rocket, every article goes through a clear, step-by-step workflow from creation to publication. These statuses help you understand exactly where each article is in the process — whether it’s queued for generation, in progress, or already live on your website.
Each status updates automatically, so you can monitor progress right from your calendar without needing to refresh or open separate pages.
Understanding Article Statuses
Queued
When you add a keyword to your calendar, it enters the Queued stage. This means the article is waiting for its scheduled date to begin generation.
You can:
See how many queued articles you have at the top of your calendar under the “You have X Queued Articles” message.
Rearrange queued articles by dragging them to new dates.
Once the generation date arrives, SEO Rocket automatically begins writing the article.
Generating
The Generating status means SEO Rocket is actively writing your article. During this stage:
You’ll see the card labeled as Generating in your calendar.
The article cannot be opened or edited yet.
You can navigate to different pages within the app without disrupting the generation process.
This phase includes AI writing and structuring the full blog post based on your keyword and tone settings.
Processing
The Processing status begins right after the writing is complete. This is when SEO Rocket enriches your article with:
Relevant images and videos
Optimized SEO metadata
Internal linking and SEO scoring
Like the Generating stage, the card is not yet clickable. Once all optimizations are done, the article automatically moves to Generated.
Generated
The Generated status means your article is complete and ready to view.
At this point, you can:
Click on the article card to open it in the Editor
Review, edit, or enhance your content manually
Choose to publish it immediately or let SEO Rocket auto-publish if enabled
This is the first stage where your article is fully accessible and editable.
Published
When your article is published, it reaches the Published status.
This happens automatically if:
Your CMS (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or Wix) is connected
Auto-Publish is enabled in your integration settings
If auto-publishing is turned off, the article remains in the Generated stage until you manually publish it from within the editor.
Once published, the article is live on your website and remains editable inside SEO Rocket.
If you make updates in the Editor and click Save, those changes are automatically pushed to the published version on your connected CMS — no manual updates required.
